OS, CALL HOME (No Thank You)
Microsoft recently introduced an update their anti-piracy tool WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) software. The update causes your operating system to check in with Microsoft at periodic intervals, without your permission, to see if you have stolen their operating system.
Many claim it acts like Spyware in that you don't have a choice to install it and is nearly impossible to remove for the average user. While we don't condone theft of copyrighted material in any form, we cannot endorse such heavy handed methods. We feel that the average user is deceived into downloading this when Microsoft puts it in the "Critical Updates" section of Windows Updates.
